Original Pacman Characters:

Pacman earns points for eating dots and fruit and is also awarded a single bonus life at 10,000 points. Near the corners of the maze are four larger, flashing dots known as power pellets that provide Pacman with the temporary ability to eat the ghosts.

Blinky is the most dangerous ghost. He starts each level moving at the same speed as all the other ghosts, but after Pacman eats a certain number of dots, he begins to speed up. It is customary to refer to this chracteristic as the identity of 'Cruise Elroy'.

Pinky is also known as Speedy although he moves at same speed as Inky and Clyde. He tends to move around blocks in an anticlockwise direction unlike Blinky and Clyde who seem to prefer going clockwise. Often Blinky and Pinky reach the opposite side of a block trapping Pacman as a deadly duo.

Inky is also dangerous because he's unpredictable. He often takes different turns at different times. Inky's nickname is Bashful, maybe because of his unpredicatable behaviour. Inky may often turn when Pacman charges him.

Clyde is the stupidest and least dangerous ghost. He often turns off rather than approaches Pacman. His heart doesn't seem to be in it at all. As a consequence of Clyde's unwillingness it's often difficult for Pacman to round all of the ghosts up into a single cluster which is nice to do just before eating a power pill.
